Mobile Mural #1 North Augusta Forward

A few weeks ago, North Augusta Forward put on Springfest with vendors, food trucks, music and fun! They wanted to do a mobile mural to use at events. A board member had an 8x6 board built on wheels. It will be used during events and on Third Thursdays. They had 3 requests for the live painting of the mural… One, it was to be North Augusta centric, with buildings in the downtown area chosen by the board…Two, it contained a community involvement aspect… and Three, it was Instagramable and would be a cool background to be photographed and tagged.

The live painting of the mural started at the beginning of the event. We included the infamous Sno•Cap, the former Marrh movie theater, Skating Ring, Lookaway Inn, Gary’s sign and the Pink Dipper.

The community involvement aspect was the best part. I included a road down the middle where participants could place their thumb prints on each side of the road. It almost looks like a parade route.

I love working with communities and showcasing quality of life. If your community wants to talk about a project to showcase, I’d love to work with you!
